
Verónica serves as the Book and Paper Conservator for Digitization at The Huntington in San Marino, California. Her primary responsibility involves assessing and conserving materials slated for digitization, ensuring their safe handling and optimal imaging. Additionally, she supports tours, educational initiatives, general collection and exhibition treatments, and contributes to environmental monitoring efforts. She earned her Master of Science in Art Conservation from the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation, specializing in Library and Archival Materials Conservation and minoring in Paper Conservation. Verónica has held positions at museums and libraries in Puerto Rico and the United States, including the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, the Library of Congress, the American Philosophical Society, and the National Library of Puerto Rico. Prior to joining TheH in 2023, she was the Library of Congress’ Harper Inglis Post-Graduate Book Conservation Fellow.
